Transparent sleeve of 60 mm to protect fusion splices, with stainless steel reinforcement of 56 mm. Pack of 100 pieces per bag.

The transparent tube allows checking splice position before shrinking. The assembly combines an outer heat-shrink sleeve, an inner hot-melt tube and a stainless steel rod to reinforce the fusion-spliced area.

After centering the sleeve, use the appropriate heating cycle and allow it to cool before placing it in a compatible tray. Each sales unit is one complete bag of 100 sleeves of the same size.

Recommended Applications

Applications - 60 mm Heat-Shrink Fusion Splice Protection Sleeves, Bag of 100

Standard splice trays

Mechanical protection of individual fusion splices in trays and cassettes compatible with sleeves of 60 mm.

Outside-plant optical closures

Reinforcement of the fusion point in distribution and splice closures for backbone or access networks.

ODFs and distribution boxes

Organization and protection of fusion splices inside optical distribution frames and cabinets.

Individual fusion splice protection

Support and insulation of the splice point against bending and handling during maintenance.

Controlled shrinking and placement

Center the fusion splice inside the sleeve, apply the correct heating cycle and let it cool before placing it in the tray.

Key Benefits

  • Overall length of 60 mm
  • stainless steel rod of 56 mm.
  • Rod of Ø 1.2 mm to reinforce the fusion point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to help you select and request this product.

What is the sales unit?

One bag with 100 sleeves of 60 mm. Order quantity refers to the number of bags.

What is the difference between 40 mm and 60 mm?

The 40 mm sleeve uses a 36 mm rod; the 60 mm sleeve uses a 56 mm rod. Both have a rod of Ø 1.2 mm, a hot-melt tube with an inner Ø of 1.3 mm and a shrunk outer diameter of 2.6 ± 0.1 mm.

Is it compatible with any tray?

Check that the holder accommodates sleeves of 60 mm and a shrunk diameter of 2.6 ± 0.1 mm.

How is it installed?

Slide on the sleeve before fusion splicing. Prepare and cleave the fiber, make the fusion splice, center the sleeve over it, heat with the appropriate cycle and let it cool before placement.

What does the 40 mm or 60 mm measurement refer to?

60 mm refers to the overall length of the sleeve and hot-melt tube. The reinforcement rod measures 56 mm; its length does not change the product name or SKU.
