Do both ends accept an RJ45 plug?
Yes. It is an 8P8C female-to-female coupler: both ends connect to preterminated RJ45 plugs. It is not a punch-down jack for loose conductors.
Is a punch-down tool needed?
Not for connecting the patch cords. AWG gauge ranges, IDC service life and punch-down termination procedures do not apply to this coupler.
Which colors can be selected?
Black, white, red, blue, green and yellow. Both categories share the same six options and mold.
What is the connection service life?
≥ 1000 insertion and extraction cycles for both categories, according to the confirmed specification for this family.
Is it shielded?
No. It is unshielded UTP and does not preserve shield continuity in an FTP/STP installation.
Does it fit any panel or increase channel speed?
Verify the Keystone opening, retention and depth. It does not replace multiport blocks in IDC 110 panels. The coupler's category does not upgrade existing cabling or guarantee speed or PoE on its own.
Do the images identify a different category?
The six views have no category markings and represent the shared mold; the category is identified by the SKU and its datasheet. The green and yellow views are digital color adaptations of the mold photograph; the actual finish may vary.
Which reference information has been applied?
The modular connection description, PC and phosphor bronze materials, individual packaging and connection life of ≥ 1000 cycles are used. Punch-down termination parameters and Cat6A performance are not applied to these two categories.
