Is it an IDC module or a coupler?
It is an RJ45 female-to-female coupler. Both ends accept installed RJ45 plugs; it does not terminate loose conductors or require a punch-down tool.
Is the housing zinc alloy?
This series' datasheet specifies high-strength PC and a shielded metal cover, but does not identify the metal alloy. It is not presented as a zinc housing.
Can it extend a link without limit or upgrade its category?
No. Channel limits must be respected and the complete link tested. A higher-category coupler does not upgrade other components or guarantee speed or PoE on its own.
Does it fit any panel?
Verify the Keystone opening, latch, retention, depth and space for both plugs. It does not replace IDC 110 multiport blocks in KONGIA preloaded panels.
How is shielding maintained?
With compatible shielded patch cords and plugs, shield continuity and system grounding. The metal cover alone does not guarantee interference elimination.
What does the 50 μin plating mean?
The datasheet specifies a minimum of 50 microinches of gold on phosphor bronze contacts. The unit is microinches, not micrometers; it is supplier data, not an independent test.
What is included and what is the finish?
One individually packaged coupler; patch cords, plate and panel not included. Photographs show a silver cover, black interior and black latch. Other colors require confirmation.
Where do the images and parameters come from?
The original supplied images correspond to Cat6. Parameters come from the supplier's common datasheet; listed standards do not constitute an independent product certificate.
