The KONGIA KG-FMC-1G-DF-SC-20 converter extends a Gigabit Ethernet network over a dual-fiber single-mode link of up to 20 km. Each converter includes an RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbps port and an SC optical interface with independent transmission and reception at 1310 nm. The unit connects to compatible optical equipment at the remote end by crossing TX to RX and RX to TX. Sold as a single unit; remote equipment is purchased separately.

Transparent conversion integrates copper and fiber without changing network operation. The Ethernet port automatically negotiates speed and duplex, supports Auto MDI/MDIX and reaches up to 100 m with Cat.5e UTP/STP cable. The design includes a 1 Mbit buffer and supports jumbo frames up to 9 Kbytes.

LED indicators allow checking of power, speed, link, activity and duplex. The ventilated metal housing measures 94 × 70 × 26 mm per unit. Operates on 5 V DC / 1 A, consumes ≤ 3 W and supports operating temperatures from 0 °C to 60 °C.
